Work in Progress

 This story was inspried by my own adventures playing games like Dungeons and Dragons with friends, and blockbuster hits like Oceans Eleven/Twelve/Thirteen, The Italian Job, Peak Blinders and Dungeons and Dragons Honor Among Thieves.

Character insparation comes from many sources but also incudes characters from media like Peaky Blinders, Sherlock Holmes (RDJ Movie Series), Lucifer, Shadow and Bone/Six of Crows, and more.

I don't have a word goal for the first draft.  I am letting the story take me where it wants to go and only then will I call it complete.  This might be in a few thousand words, or it might break 100k.  So progression updates are going to be more on story beats and overall feel of where things are at.

While I have a general idea of how the plot will go I am very much writing this as if I am both the Dungeon Master and players in a TTRPG.  I have a rough design of the characters, I am mapping out the "dungeon" and I will be letting dice, and maybe even followers, decide what will happen next.  Keep an eye on my updates to see what is going on.

Currently, the crew has been assembled and they are meeting for the first time to discuss the heist.  I am taking a pause in actual writing to do some of the behind the scenes planning.  What is the "dungeon" like that they are going to attempt to steal from?  What hurdles are they going to face?  Are their chances for them to better the odds before they actually make their move?  Are their ways they could fail and make things worse?
